32 displaced women. The session aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of the importance of healthy emotional expression and coping with psychological stress.
The session covered several key topics, including the concept of emotional venting, its positive impact on mental health, and healthy ways of expressing emotions through talking, writing, art, physical activity, and deep breathing. It also addressed common misconceptions related to suppressing emotions or expressing them in harmful ways.
Participants were trained on practical and safe emotional-venting techniques and were guided on avoiding common mistakes when dealing with emotions, such as shouting, aggression, or self-blame. Positive and constructive alternatives for managing stress were presented as part of the discussion.
The session saw strong engagement, with participants actively sharing their experiences and taking part in group discussions, which enriched the dialogue and deepened the collective understanding of the importance of psychological self-care. Many expressed their interest in attending more sessions and workshops due to their meaningful impact on emotional balance.
