GCMHP organized a self-care session for female staff of the World Health Organization (WHO). The session aimed to support healthcare workers and enhance their psychological well-being amid the growing pressures in Gaza.
The session began with a welcome and an overview of the importance of self-care in maintaining mental health and sustaining the provision of humanitarian services. Participants were also introduced to GCMHP’s interventions designed to support health and psychosocial service providers.
Activities included simple yoga exercises for breathing and stretching, art and drawing exercises for emotional expression and stress relief, and short self-regulation exercises to reconnect safely with the body.
The session concluded by emphasizing the importance of continuing such activities for healthcare workers, highlighting their role in strengthening psychological resilience and enhancing coping skills in the challenging work environment.
