GCMHP conducted an awareness session for women in displacement camps entitled "Building a Positive Self-Image," with the participation of 42 women. This session is part of GCMHP's ongoing efforts to raise awareness about mental health and promote the importance of psychological support among different segments of society.

The session aimed to enhance participants' awareness of the importance of mental health and encourage them to seek psychological support when needed. It addressed several important topics, most notably the importance of self-acceptance and avoiding comparisons with others, the role of positive self-talk in boosting self-confidence, how to identify and develop strengths, and the impact of a supportive environment and kind words on enhancing self-esteem.

The session also discussed healthy ways to cope with criticism and failure, and the importance of building a positive self-image amidst the daily challenges and hardships faced by women in displacement camps.

The session witnessed significant interaction and interest from the participants, who raised numerous questions related to mental health disorders. Some women also shared life experiences that led them to consider seeking psychological help for the first time.

At the end, the psychological services offered by GCMHP were explained, with emphasis placed on the free and confidential nature of consultations available via the telephone counseling: 1800222333.
