“GCMHP Organized Specialized Training on Teaching and Recovery Techniques (TRT)”

  • Previews 31

As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of mental health and psychosocial support services, GCMHP organized a specialized training course on Teaching and Recovery Techniques (TRT). The course was attended by psychologists and social workers from the Syndicate of Social and Psychological Specialists, along with several GCMHP staff members.

The training aimed to build the capacity of participants and empower them to implement evidence-based psychological interventions to support children and adults affected by traumatic events, thereby enhancing their ability to cope and recover.

The training covered a range of theoretical and practical topics, including understanding psychological trauma and its effects, principles of recovery, and mechanisms for applying TRT techniques to deliver effective psychological interventions that respond to the needs of beneficiaries in humanitarian contexts.

This training is part of GCMHP's efforts to develop the competencies of mental health and psychosocial support service providers, contributing to improved service quality and expanding their impact in supporting individuals and families in the current humanitarian situation.
