GCMHP conducted psychosocial support sessions and interactive activities for children in displacement camps. The aim was to provide a safe and supportive space where children could express their feelings and alleviate the psychological stress associated with displacement and the effects of war.
The sessions included a range of recreational and interactive activities suitable for children, focusing on psychological relief, enhancing interaction and communication, fostering a spirit of participation and teamwork, and supporting their ability to express their feelings and needs in a safe and positive way.
The activities also contributed to creating a supportive atmosphere, giving children a chance to temporarily escape the surrounding tension and pressures and enjoy safe time with their peers, thus strengthening their sense of belonging and support.
The sessions were characterized by joy, participation, and positive interaction, with the children demonstrating enthusiasm and responsiveness to the various activities. This initiative is part of GCMHP's efforts to provide psychosocial support to children affected by war and displacement.
