GCMHP continued its efforts to strengthen the capacities of mental health professionals by organizing the second training course under the project funded by War Child-H. The course was titled "The Most Common Mental Disorders Among Children and Adults - Detection and Referral".
A total of 23 specialists and practitioners from GCMHP and several partner organizations participated in the course. The intensive training spanned 15 hours over three days and concluded at the end of the week.
The course was delivered by a team of experienced psychologists from GCMHP and was conducted using a hybrid model-combining in -person sessions in Deir Al-Balah with online participation via Zoom for GCMHP teams based in Gaza City. This approach ensured broader inclusion of professionals despite ongoing field challenges.
This course was part of a series of trainings aimed at enhancing the skills of mental health and psychosocial support workers, strengthening their ability to identify mental disorders early, and ensuring effective referral for children and adults in need of support.
