GCMHP conducted a group counseling session for girls entitled "How to Overcome Trauma During Crises Through the River of Life Activity." Sixteen girls participated in the session, which was part of the project "Improving the Availability of Youth and their Caregivers to Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Quality Services in Gaza Strip." The project is implemented in partnership with the Belgian Agency for International Cooperation - Enabel, and funded by the Belgian Government.

The session targeted girls affected by the repercussions of war and focused on helping them understand the psychological and emotional effects of exposure to trauma and ongoing stress.

The session covered a range of topics, including identifying feelings associated with fear, anxiety, and sadness; healthy ways to express these feelings; enhancing positive coping skills; building social support; and developing strategies to help participants cope with stress and trauma in safe and effective ways.

The session also provided a safe space for participants to share experiences and insights, contributing to reducing psychological stress and fostering a sense of security and belonging
