As part of its efforts to enhance the capacities of mental health professionals, GCMHP conducted a specialized training course entitled "Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)." The training was attended by professionals working in the program's three community centers.
This training was conducted in cooperation with the YMCA of Jerusalem. It focused on introducing participants to the principles and techniques of EMDR therapy and its application in addressing psychological trauma in children, particularly in the context of crises and conflicts.
The training included a range of practical applications and interactive exercises that helped strengthen participants' skills and enabled them to utilize this therapeutic approach in their fieldwork, thereby contributing to improving the quality of mental health services provided to beneficiaries.
