GCMHP conducted group counseling support sessions for adolescents as part of the project "Improving the Availability of Youth and their Caregivers to Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Quality Services in Gaza Strip." in partnership with the Belgian Agency for International Cooperation - Enabel, and funded by the Belgian Government.
These sessions are part of the response to the growing psychological needs arising from the difficult humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip. They targeted adolescents affected by the war and focused on helping them understand the psychological and emotional impacts of ongoing trauma and stress.
The sessions also provided a safe and interactive space where participants could express their experiences and share their expertise, contributing to alleviating psychological distress and fostering a sense of security, belonging, and mutual support.
Through these interventions, GCMHP reaffirms its commitment to continuing to provide high-quality mental health and psychosocial support services that meet the needs of the most vulnerable groups and contribute to strengthening the psychological resilience of young people and their caregivers in the Gaza Strip.
